DBU - Horner Ballpark
Home to DBU Baseball, Horner Ballpark was ranked as the 20th best stadium in college baseball by D1Baseball.com in 2016. Horner Ballpark opened its gates on February 15, 2013, and since then has offered fans one of the most picturesque and unique experiences in all of college baseball. With the opening of one of the premier facilities in the nation, the Dallas Baptist University administration showed, once again, the strength of their commitment to a top tier baseball program on University Hill. In keeping with the architectural theme of the campus, Horner Ballpark exhibits a Georgian-style facade of dark red brick and offers state-of-the-art fan amenities throughout the stadium. With a capacity of 3,492 persons, Horner Ballpark contains four guest suites available for rental, a pavilion down the left field line for large groups, and party plazas along both sides of the concourse available for medium sized gatherings. With closed-circuit televisions throughout the park and the audio broadcast of the game piped into each suite and restroom, fans are never far from the action at Horner Ballpark. Designed by HKS (Cowboys Stadium, Globe Life Park in Arlington, and more) and built by FJW Construction, Dallas Baptist University partnered with one of the premier companies in the nation in ballpark construction to build Horner Ballpark. The goal of all involved parties is to add value to the opportunities provided to players at DBU in a way of development both on and off the field. Along with the construction of Horner Ballpark, batting tunnels were added underneath the stadium for easy access from behind the home dugout. Coaches' offices, a meeting room with video capabilities, and a reception area were all included in the design and construction of Horner Ballpark to aid players and coaches in their time at DBU.
