Jason Mengel

The PGA of America’s Championship Director for the Association’s PGA Frisco based Major Championships is Jason Mengel. Jason is responsible for directing a staff whose primary focus is the strategic planning and successful execution of these significant events, including the upcoming 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and 2027 PGA Championship. Jason is the first person at the PGA of America to serve as the Championship Director for each of the Association’s 4 Spectator Championships (43rd Ryder Cup, 2015/2017/2027 PGA Championships, 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and the 2013/2023 Senior PGA Championships). Prior to joining the PGA of America in 2006, Jason spent approximately six years working on the PGA TOUR’s Buick Open, with his most recent role being Sales and Marketing Director for the event. After 6 moves in the last 15 years with the PGA of America, Jason and his family (wife Jill, daughters Ryan and Blake, son Colin) are excited to have settled down in Celina, Texas.
